dont buy!

(Score 1/5)

I have bought a fair amount of screen protectors from amazon, this is the worst by far!! Not only is it cut so it does not even fit my droid properly, it has a ton of bubbles once applied. I went through all 3 of mine just trying to get it to look decent...it doesnt. I usually like the thicker plastic protectors that go on without trouble, so if you prefer those as well, so not buy this product....good thing these are so cheap since I have to buy new protectors!

Droid Screen Cover

(Score 5/5)

I bought these covers a couple of days after I purchased my Motorola Droid. They are serving thier purpose of protecting my droid my scratches and such things. I have dropped the droid from about 3 feet on to a concrete floor; the screen cover (& the case) took the abuse. My only problem is I wished the directions were a little clearer. I messed one of my covers up because the directions were not 100% clear. Other than that they are working great.

Avoid these Screen Protectors

(Score 1/5)

These screen protectors are hard to apply and feel sticky afterward, which changes the feel of the touch screen completely. I tossed them and got some from the Verizon store that are very good.

So far the best available-

(Score 5/5)

without the hard plastic outer shell, the soft silicon first layer of the case would be totally inadequate, and, impossible to get out of a pants pocket. but because this case protects the perimeter and 95% of the back of the iPhone with an outer plastic shell, it has enough of a smooth surface and enough of a tacky (silicon) surface to be both easily accesible out of the pocket, and make the phone feel like you have a sure grip when using it.
i dropped my phone recently (which almost never happens)and the case performed flawlessly. the case hit a hard tile floor from waist height on the very corner metal band, by the ringer on/off switch. not any evidence the phone took a fall.
the other positive this case has over several others is that the soft silicon first layer of the case covers enough of the phone's face to offer some protection screen side.
yes, the two part case is not as quick and easy as the Snap case, but the protection and use-ability of the Incipio Silicrylic case are near perfect.

Solid, quality case.

(Score 4/5)

As with all things, case designs have to make compromises. If you want ultimate protection, be prepared for a tank of a case. If you want sleek looks to match the iP4, be prepared for flimsy designs. Unfortunately you can't have it all (at least at a reasonable price-point). The Incipio Silicrylic is a good compromise in my opinion.

The silicone inner linner is incredibly soft, providing adequate shock absoption while keeping the overall package thin. The polycarb outer layer provides an extra layer of impact resistance from blunt and hard objects. It probably won't save your phone from a 2+ meter drop, but occasional drops from waist or chest height should not be a problem. I'm sure the case won't come out pristine, but better the case than the phone.

So far I have tried the following cases:
* Apple Bumper- Looks great, but adds little protection.
* Griffin Reveal Etch- Great look and feel, but the sides are not snug enough to the phone.
* Speck Candyshell- Superb protection, but it bulks up the phone too much IMO and scratches WAY too easily. Incompatible with most connectors and docks.

Pros:
- Good compromise of thinness and protection
- Superb compatability with pin connectors (works with basically anything)
- Good compatability with 3rd party docks (thin enough to work with most)
- Easy access/function with all phone controls
- Good looks
- Easy to install/remove
- Perfect fitment/alignment
- No "flash haze"
- Easy in/out of pockets

Cons:
- Exposed silicone layer picks up lint occassionally, but thankfully it is easily removed
- Polycarb layer has plasticky feel to it
- Silicone material around the Home button can be a little annoying
- Could use silicone inserts on the sides for better grip

Overall, the Silicrylic case makes an excellent compromise between looks and protection while adding superb functionality.

Great case!!

(Score 5/5)

Not sure why the other reviewer thought this case was lacking in protection - i think the 2 piece case provides it much better protection than a single silicon or other case would provide. I've been a user of previous generations of iPhones and now the iPhone 4, and have tried a dozen or so cases, including the bumper that Apple is now offering with the iPhone 4 to mitigate the antenna issue. This Incipio case is by far the best I've seen, and the best made. It fits to a 'T' and the soft inner cover is amazingly supple, while the polycarbonate layer provides considerable protection. Keep in mind polycarbonate is used to make of all things, certain firearms and is an very tough material. Though I received without charge (it was provided along with the iPhone for my job), I would say its much better than similarly priced cases found at the Apple store. It really has quality written all over it and the best one I've tried.

Overpriced, flimsy.

(Score 2/5)

The Incipio Silicrylic case is composed of two pieces - a soft silicon skin that fits around the iPhone 4 and a hard plastic back piece that the phone and skin together fit inside. It's a good looking case, you can find in a variety of color combinations, and it doesn't add much weight or volume to the phone. Unfortunately, I'm not convinced that it will provide much protection in the case of a fall.

I had expected that the hard plastic back piece would be stronger and more rigid, but instead the plastic backing is very thin and bends easily. As my main concern in finding a case was protection (the iPhone 4 just seems a lot more fragile than previous iPhones), I'm a little disappointed. This case has the feel and quality of a $10 or $15 product rather than one that sells for $30.

Unfortunately, there aren't a whole lot of cases available for the iPhone 4 right now. I'll probably hold onto this one for now and switch as soon as I can find something more substantial.
