Chicco c6

Combi Flare

A lightweight portable stroller with a compact tri-fold design. It weighs only 11.6 pounds, but will hold up to 55 pounds. Designed for taller parents, reclining seat, and many more features.

Chicco c6

A Lightweight stroller designed in Italy. Annodized aluminum frame with 2-position reclining seat. Secured with a padded 5-point harness. Adjustable, removable, canopy and storage basket. Manufacturer recommends for age 6-36 months and up to 37 lbs.

Accessories

The basket underneath the Combi Flare is small but comfortable enough for small items. The cup holder is small but very functional, and the zipped compartment is quite roomy. The sun shade is great, sturdy and locks well in place. The front bar is removable and that is very helpful. You may purchase extra stuff holder for the stroller. It does not tip the stroller over. The cup holder for the child is very good. There are many accessories available from different manufacturers.
The Chicco C6 is equipped with a small basket underneath the seat for storing small items. The basket is generally considered very useful and at a good size, with only a few users saying it is either too small or very roomy. The front swivel wheels may be locked to a straight position. These wheels and the rear brakes work well. The stroller is stable and is not likely to tip over with bags hung on the handles. The adjustable canopy (sunshade) is removable and is quite valuable, with some users mentioning that it does not extend far enough. The stroller is not equipped with cup holders and the material it is made of isn't wash proof. The clasp which holds the stroller folded is not sturdy enough.

Adult Comfort

The Combi Flare steers nice and smoothly and the back wheels are easy to lock. The carrying strap is a nice, helpful feature. The front wheels do not rotate as easily as other strollers. The stroller is usually good for people between 5'8 (172.7m) and 6'1 (185.4m) as the handles are tall and they don't kick the wheels when pushing it. The stroller is stable and able to hold the weight of a heavy bag on the back even when no child is sitting inside. The wheels work usually well on gravel paths, city sidewalks, and grass. Almost all users had no difficulties pushing the stroller outside.
The Chicco C6 is stable and is not likely to tip over when you hang bags on the handles. It also steers, manoeuvres and handles well. The stroller is comfortable for most parents between 5'4 (162.6m) and 5'8 (172.7m) Between these heights you shouldn't have problems with the height of the handles or with kicking the wheels when pushing the stroller. For parents over 5'8 (172.7m) the stroller may be uncomfortable for pushing as the handles are a little short, don't pull out and can't provide enough space between their feet and the wheels. This stroller is very good for travel and airports and steers well one handed. It does not jolt on uneven pavements or ground. The material is easy to clean, but notice that in the folded position, the back wheels touch the canopy and may make it dirty

Child age and weight

The Combi Flare manufacturer promises that it will hold up to 55 lbs (25kg).
Chicco recommends this stroller for children of ages 6 to 36 months and who weigh up to 37 lbs (16.5kg).

Low Cost

The Combi Flare is usually not expensive.
The Chicco C6 is quite cheap.

Easy Folding and Carrying

The Combi Flare is light and easily portable, as it has a helpful, convenient carrying strap. It folds up small and is very easy to load or unload from cars and buses, but does not fold very well if the basket contains items.
The Chicco C6 is very easy to handle, lightweight and collapses very easily to a small size, and takes up a very small space when collapsed. The travel bag that comes with the stroller is very useful and sets this stroller apart from others. This offsets the locking clasp that holds the stroller when collapsed which is awkward to use at first and possibly not strong enough. The travel bag fits very tight when the stroller is inside and could be made better if it was a little bigger. The carrying strap is also very useful.

Security and Comfort

The Combi Flare is narrow and may not be a good fit for larger children. However, is stable and will not tip over with a heavy bag on the handles and no baby inside. Children find the cup holder very comfortable. For most children the stroller's seat reclines enough for to nap comfortably. Sometimes the stroller jolts the children when encountering a bump in the road. Also in one case a mother complained that her baby's fingers were pinched under the front bar because of the way the frame is constructed (this can probably happen in many strollers). The sunshade is very good for the children.
The Chicco C6 is very comfortable for children, and they usually have no problem sleeping in it. The two position reclining seat provides comfort for children, and has good incline and good support for the back. For some children the firm back and maximum recline from the upfront position may not be comfortable enough. On the other hand, for younger children the seat is sometimes too reclined. The reclining mechanism lets parents change the seat's incline with minimum movement for the child. The stroller is very sturdy, and is mostly perceived to provide a smooth, secure and comfortable ride. The 5-point harness provides good security for their children, is not too tight or too loose around the child's neck and the strap buckles are very secure, making it impossible for babies to open by themselves. The brakes and sun shade are pretty good, and the fabric is breathable.

Lightweight

The Combi Flare weighs 11.7 pounds (5.3kg). Most people will find it very lightweight and have no problem carrying it with their children inside.
The Chicco C6 weighs 11 pounds (5kg).

Easy, Lightweight, Perfect for Travel

(Score 5/5)

This stroller truly is light weight and compact. I was skeptical about how easy it would be to fold it up, but I shouldn't have been worried. Although I can fold it up while holding my 1 year old, it isn't that easy - it is, however, very easy to fold it with two hands. It is easy to push and maneuver, and super easy to get my squirmy son strapped in - only two things to snap into the harness, and the connection is large and simple so there is no fumbling around. The canopy stretches out a little farther than other strollers I've had. The "basket" on the bottom isn't very easy to slip items into; it is more of a large mesh bag - but it does hold things securely. When I fold it up nothing falls out. And there is a smaller mesh bag close to the handlebar which is the perfect size for your keys and phone. The handlebar is high enough for me to use easily, and I am 5'8".

The only thing I wish this stroller had is a snack tray. Also, an adult cup holder would be nice. It comes with a removable child's cup holder that hangs off the side of the stroller at the child's level which is pretty useless for children under the age of 2, since the child has to hold their cup out of the stroller and get it in just right or their cup lands on the ground. Impossible for my 1 year old, but ok for my 3 year old. BUT, the stroller seems a little small for my 3 year old, so I really only use it for the little one.

Overall, I really do like this stroller. and it beats my umbrella stroller made by Maclaren.

I love mine! Great for quick shopping!

(Score 5/5)

I had the graco melbourne stoller that thing was huge. It took up the whole trunk. This nice stroller fits in my backseat of my small honda and my husband's mazda (trunk and or backseat). It seems like we don't even have it with us when we travel.

It is super lightweight. It has great wonderful wheels that move freely. Also all the wheels lock into place. Which on an umbrella stroller does not happen.

My child is almost a year old and I still change his diaper in this stroller instead of using the nasty restroom changers they have.

This stroller I stuck inside with my evenflo carseat at the airport in a bag and it was super light weight. I would buy this stroller again. It survived the trip to and from! I love the arm strap on it to carry around which that is not heard of.

Also it can go into the washer and dryer. How many strollers do that? My old one I couldn't take it off and laundry it.

The only bad thing is that there is not really a useable basket, which is fine with me because I just stick reusable tote bags to the bag handle and it works.

There is a really nice pocket in the back for parents to put keys into and so on. I can even stick a bottle water in there. It comes with a cupholder for the child.

It fits super well down isles while shopping and people are amazed that they don't have to move there shopping cart over for me to get around them.

Bad Steering

(Score 3/5)

Well, we love our double COMBI, so we thought this would make a great travel stroller.

Pros
Lightweight
Folds Compact
Nice Recline

Cons
Steering is impossible with one hand and lots of effort with two hands. I am surpised because I can steer the double stroller with one hand no problem.
It is NOT a 5-point harness, it is around the hips only.
When my daughter pulls up on the front bar sometimes she can pull it up and out of shape, because it is not hard but soft plastic (it is soft, as part of the compact fold).

I would not buy this stroller again, unfortunately.

Not the best in the market, make sure you review it well and even test drive it, if you have the option.

Chicco Capri Stroller

(Score 5/5)

Great Stroller. 1/2 the price of the Maclaren but all the features. Only drawback would be if your child is tall, his/her head may reach the top of the back of the stroller quickly . My little girl is small for 2 years so this stroller is a perfect fit for her and should last us a while. Used on our first trip to Philadelphia with her - on the train, the subway, and the bus - and was perfect.

Should have bought this stroller earlier!

(Score 5/5)

We bought the Chicco Capri stroller last week and we're extremely pleased with the purchase. Our main reasons for choosing this particular model was that we were looking for a very lightweight stroller that could be opened/closed with one hand while holding the baby in the other. We live in a second floor apartment (in a building without an elevator) and it was just getting too difficult to drag a 20+ lb. stroller up and down the stairs while holding my six month old (who's also around 20 lbs.). This stroller is very easy to open, lock into position as well as to fold up. There's even an automatic locking device which doesn't require you to bend down that prevents the stroller from opening up once you've closed it. There's also a strap which allows you to carry it hands-free - it kind of looks like you're carrying a set of golf clubs except much, much lighter. The stroller moves around nicely; it feels solid and sturdy and at an excellent price.

The canopy on this stroller is pretty big and gives a good amount of coverage from the sun. One of the snaps on the canopy fell off as I was trying to attach it. I called Chicco and they said that another part should arrive within a week - very good customer service. There's a one year warranty on the stroller from the date of purchase.

As for some of the downfalls, I don't know if my son is as comfortable in this stroller as he is in our other one. I wish the seat part was a little longer because my son's little legs just sort of hang off of it. But, I think that's a fair trade-off considering the advantages of this type of stroller.

All in all, I would recommend this stroller to anyone who's looking for a lightweight, portable, and easy-to-use stroller.

Easy to Use and Lightweight

(Score 5/5)

This is our second stroller. We have a larger one with an integrated/removable car seat.

The canopy on this one works well and this stroller is built solid enough, yet is very lightweight. I actually prefer this one over the larger, bulkier one that we have.

It does have some minor issues though. It is hard to lock when folded up, because it does not clip closed easily.

We also kick wheels while walking. Your mileage may vary depending on the size of your feet. Our baby seems to like it, but sometimes slumps over do to the way the support straps are positioned and the stoller's seat flat back.

One additional nice feature is that the there is a piece of fabric that folds over the latch that snaps the straps together.

Recommended.

Average...poor quality

(Score 2/5)

I purchased this stroller after purchasing the chicco keyfit carseat stroller combo. I was really impressed with the quality and durability. This stroller does not match up. I should have listened to the other reviews, as it has quite a few annoyances. The basket underneath is pretty much useless. I can fit a sippy cup, a few diapers, wipes and changing pad and a munchie mug, but not much else. You cannot fit even a small lunch bag there. In the pictures, it seems like you will be able to put things in the basket with the kid in the stroller, but that room gets scrunched with the child in the seat and you have to fish items out of the side. This normally wouldn't be annoying, because you can hang your diaper bag from the handles with your rubber bungees. When I hang my diaper bag from the stroller handles (even with the little bungee attachments that make it higher, it is hard to walk with because you lose precious space to hold the handles (walk a little farther back), which are low for me and I am 5'3. It is really annoying for my husband to push because the handles are so low. The buckles on the straps are also very annoying. They have that moving plastic clasp part that attaches the straps and the buckle, and I constantly have to move it out of the way to buckle in (it gets near where the buckle needs to squeeze together to fit and I have to wiggle it out of the way). The worst part is that it is made so cheaply that after 3 weeks of use, my plastic clasp broke when my son (only 14 months) pulled on the strap, so now I cannot use it because if he pulls hard enough, the strap comes loose). The last annoyance is that the crotch strap is not very long and I am constantly pushing my son back into the seat so I can buckle him in. I used cloth diapers for the first 6 months and I cannot imagine being able to buckle him in with a cloth diaper on. I am pretty disappointed and I guess I will be contacting Chicco for a replacement part. I wish I had purchased something else.

Disappointing

(Score 2/5)

I bought a secondhand Chicco liteway stroller from someone on Craigslist and LOVED it! It was so solid and comfortable. But unfortunately it became damaged and I had to find something new. I decided to go with the Capri, since my son is getting bigger (he's 2 and a half) and I mostly just needed something for travel. I do not like it at all. It is difficult to push (the wheels often get stuck) and it feels flimsy. Also, the clip that holds it when it is collapsed is not easy to clip. When we took the train at Disneyland I was always stressing to clip it in time to board. I always am the one who gets stuck pushing it because everyone else in my family hates it. It's definitely better than a cheap umbrella stroller, but not by much. The basket underneath is so small, you can put very little there. If you just want something to push to the park, it's probably not bad, but if you are going to use it regularly and for extended time (like a trip to Disneyland) I think the next step up is worth the extra money.
