Diaper Dude

Skip Hop Duo Deluxe

The Skip Hop Duo Deluxe Diaper Bag has a clean, modern, stylish design, for both mom and dad. The bag features many pockets and compartments for easy organization of all your baby needs as well as your personal items. A cushioned changing pad and cell phone holder are included. The bag has magnetic closures, instead of Velcro ones and converts easily from a shoulder bag to a stroller bag, using the special shuttle clips. The bag is easily cleaned with water or a wet cloth.

Diaper Dude

This is a sporty messenger-style diaper bag designed especially for dads on-the-go, but the design is gender-neutral and moms love it too. It is a cool, hip, funky diaper bag, with lots of space and compartments to hold all the essentials for a day out. It comes with a padded changing mat, cell phone holder and two key clips. The bag features ergonomic, across-the-chest strap and hooks for attaching it to the back of a stroller. It is also extremely easy to clean.

Spacious main compartment

The Duo Deluxe Edition is 30% larger than the original, and provides ample room for all your baby essentials. However, despite the relatively large main compartment, when you fill the pockets they puff up towards the inside of the bag, so the space left in the main compartment is quite small.
The inner compartment can hold extra changing clothes, toys etc. According to some reviews the main compartment of the Diaper Dude bag is too small if you carry a lot of stuff with around - which usually happens with a baby's bag.

Compartments and Pockets

The Skip Hop Duo Deluxe Diaper Bag has 11 pockets and compartments for easy organization of baby stuff, as well as a zippered personal pocket for parents' items. There are two front open pockets, large enough to hold bottles or a sippy cup without spilling. They also provide easy access to items such as a pacifier or a toy.
Additionally, there are also two interior bottle or organizer pockets and an adjustable side mesh pocket for a baby bottle or a parent's water bottle. There are two zippered pockets at the top of the bag, which can hold parents' stuff such as a wallet, keys, PDA etc. A large rear pocket is designed to hold diapers and the changing pad, so you don't need to dig inside the bag to find them. The bag also features easy-access pen holders, and a cell phone side pocket, which according to reviews is big enough for a smartphone. Some reviewers say they could only find 10 pockets and not 11 as advertised, and that the pockets (inner compartments) are not easily accessible.
Diaper Dude Diaper Bag has several pockets and compartments, for easy access and use. It has three large front exterior zip-closed pockets, which are perfect for wipes, bibs, food, utensils etc. The main inner compartment has a zip-closed pocket and comes with a changing pad. The main compartment also contains an inner pouch especially designed to keep diapers. The bag also has a handy elasticized bottle holder. The strap has a special pocket to hold your cell phone, but it won't hold a phone much bigger than the standard flip phone.

Easy Bottle Access

The bag has a side mesh pocket for a bottle or sippy cup. You can also use the two front pockets or two inner compartments to hold a bottle.
The bag contains an easy to reach elasticized bottle or sippy cup holder. The bottle is within an arm's reach while you are still wearing the bag across your body.

Suitable for Dads too

The Skip Hop Duo Deluxe Diaper Bag has a clean, modern, stylish unisex design, for both mom and dad.
Diaper Dude diaper bags were designed especially for dads. The bag merges hip and funky masculine-style with functionality. No more feminine-style diaper bags - this one dads would actually want to carry. Oh, and moms love it too.

Easy to Hang on Stroller

The Duo Deluxe features the new Shuttle Clips (patent pending) a unique strap and fastening system. The system attaches the bag neatly and conveniently to the handlebars of any stroller. When attached to the stroller, you can leave the shoulder strap on the bag or remove if you want to achieve a cleaner look. User reviews state tbat the clipping is very easy and convenient.
The bag comes with stroller straps and clips so you can hook it onto your baby's stroller. You simply wrap the straps onto the stroller handlebars and clip the bag to the straps.
Most users commented that it hooks nicely on their strollers.

Easy to carry

When not attached to the stroller, the bag is worn on the shoulders. The bag has an attachable shoulder strap that can be removed when the bag is attached to the stroller. The shoulder strap includes a removable soft shoulder pad. Some reviews state that the bag is not very comfortable to shoulder, because it sits squarely on the hip, and the strap can slip off your shoulder when picking up or changing a baby. It may also be less comfortable to wear across the body like a messenger-style bag, because of the square bulky shape of bag
The bag has an ergonomic, across-the-chest design and features a padded back for extra comfort. The strap is wide and adjustable, and is equipped with a padded panel and clips that you can use for detaching and reattaching to the bag itself, for easily taking it off when you need to. The special design of the bag makes it super comfortable and easy on your shoulders. Reviews say it is easy to reach into any of the pockets while wearing the bag on the shoulder, and very easy to move around, like when you bend down to pick up your baby, while the bag stays in place.

too small

(Score 1/5)

I have this bag and do not like it at all. It is way too small! All the pockets are great but if you put anything in the pockets you have no room inside the bag in the main space. It's so frustrating! I can hardly fit all that I need and I just have a newborn so there isn't a ton that I need at this point. The stroller clips are why I bought it and it is nice but not worth it when I cannot fit what I need into the bag.

Perfect size when out-n-about

(Score 4/5)

I have the Skip Hop Duo in Blossom. Kinda sporty style, mod & pretty, too! I'm pregnant with my 2nd child & have an almost 2 yr old. My kids will be 21 months apart. I did not research diaper bags with my first baby. I just bought or registered for what I liked and seemed affordable. I wound up with a beautiful laptop-looking herringbone dipe bag from Wal-Mart that was huge & when slung over my shoulder, the straps were too short! I'm 5ft. 1 in. & petite btw. I bought a GORGEOUS Bella Tunno bag from Gap, but it was too large for everyday trips to the store or friend's homes. Then I bought a Land's End tote with monogramming. Classic, could be used later, but my son was walking by this point and after a day at the mall play area, I realized I needed a smaller, hands-free option. I ended up using my free Similac dipe bag from the hospital. As a gal who loves purses, this was functional, but not ideal. I researched like crazy this time from websites to magazines to watching youtube vids (very helpful). It came down to the Serena & Lily Gypsy tote ($164), JJ Cole System 180 ($70-80), JJ Cole Mode ($60) & this Skip Hop Duo.
S & Lily was out not only because of the much higher price, but I needed something a bit more practical with pockets on the outside at this point (I still want this bag, though, maybe a Christmas gift!). The System 180 was still a bit larger than what I was looking for, but great for longer trips! The Mode had great reviews, but what sold me on Skip Hop Duo was the built in Shuttle Clips, I never have to worry about forgetting them like with JJ Coles Grips. Plus, I wanted something a bit more streamlined & it looks more like a bag you might take to work (I'm a high school teacher, now SAHM).
It's true that once you start filling up the outside pockets, the inside gets cramped, but this forces me to take a bit less. I've packed it for 2 kids already. I keep 4 dipes & change pad in large back pocket, clothes (in bottom)& snacks (on top) in the main compartment and then find places for all the little stuff. The small zip pocket on top is perfect for my lipgloss, sunglasses & wallet (you just have to have a smaller wallet). PERFECT For a run to the store or friend's home. I decided if I'm going somewhere like the zoo, I'll pack this Dipe bag same as above, I always take in a mini softsided cooler for snacks/drinks. Then I'll keep my Land's End Tote in the car stocked for the actual rare emergencies when I need 3 changes of clothes and tons of diapers. The over packing for emergencies is what does me in sometimes, so I'm willing just to keep a tote in the car for the extras that many times aren't needed.
Oh and get the pacifier pocket! I love this thing. Frees up more space in the bag. Wish I had one with my son. Long review! Hope that helps.

Awesome bag!

(Score 5/5)

Looked at this one and many others for when baby #6 arrived... Having kids spaced out with between 20-32mo apart I needed something that could last and hold the pull ups and clothes for the potty trainer, the diapers and snacks for toddler and diapers and spit rags/clothes and more for the newborn... I would say that since it is tall, it might have been better to be a bit wider... However we manage, I may reorganize and that could help with that problem.

I love how I can have everything organized and the separate cell phone pocket is a huge plus!

The colors/pattern makes it fun and not the dull plain ones I have. The shoulder pad actually makes me feel like I'm carrying less! I upgraded to this bag from a Mini Carter's bag + Purse to just this, totally worth it!

Frustrating

(Score 3/5)

I do like that this bag has lots of pockets but I must agree with other posts in that the main compartment becomes unreachable if you put anything in the smaller pockets. This bag does not open up enough to carry everything. Also when hanging on my stroller (a Chicco) I can not reach into the bag because its pulled too tight across. I am stuck taking the bag on and off anyway if I need anything. The idea of of the stroller hanging straps is a good one and may work better on a stroller with a less wide handle.

It's just OK

(Score 3/5)

Loved the look of it on-line - then saw it in a store so I ordered. For me it doesn't have enough room. I'm a new Mom so perhaps I'm not as efficient as I need to be - so maybe I'll love it later, but for now, it's just OK. I'm using it and don't plan to buy another to replace it at this point, so hope it gets better.
