Great price, great stroller

(Score 5/5)

I received this stroller yesterday and already I love it! I wish I had purchased it sooner. My daugher just turned 3 and we needed a lightweight stroller for walking my son to school. I chose this one because it goes up to 50 lbs. She is about 34 lbs and 36". She fits in the stroller comfortably, although her head is just about at the top of the backrest. On the box it says it's for kids up to 40 inches. The khaki color is very nice, a little darker than it seems in the picture. The stroller was very easy to assemble. The instructions can be found in the basket when you unfold the stroller.

So far, we love this stroller!

(Score 5/5)

I searched for months, yes months, to find the perfect stroller for my tall 2 year old. Cheap umbrella strollers weren't roomy enough for him and the big strollers took up too much space in the back of my SUV! The umbrella stroller didn't take up a lot of room but I missed having a basket underneath, somewhere for me to put a drink, a tray for me and they were just too short!

I bought this stroller for a trip to the beach over Labor Day weekend and I love it. The handles are the perfect height. I don't have to bend over to push it and my feet don't bump the wheels. It's very comfortable to push. I've used it on flat surfaces and really bumpy surfaces like the part and it's been perfect! My son has plenty of room in it. I was able to fit a flexible diaper bag underneath in the basket (I use an envirosax bag because they are only as big as how much you have in them if that makes sense!). I love that it goes up to 50 lbs. We can use this for a while!

The parent storage is great! Plenty of room for a drink, small wallet, keys and cell phone. Great deal because with a lot of strollers, you have to purchase this separately.

I read complaints about the recline but I thought it was plenty for my son. He's not one to sleep in a stroller anyway but when he got tired and wanted to rest, the recline was perfect for him because he could lay back and relax but still be able to see everything. He never liked laying flat in a stroller.

The canopy is nice size compared to what I had on my cheap umbrella stroller. No, it's not as large as a canopy on a full size stroller but perfect for his stroller.

I'm still getting the hang of adjusting the straps right and so is my son! He was used to be able to bend over and try to touch the wheels or the ground but the 5 pt. harness keeps him in but I can make it loose enough that he has some wiggle room.

Probably the best feature for me is the fact that it folds up so easily (with the canopy attached) and takes up a fraction of the space his larger stroller did!

The only think I would improve on would be to make the foot rest a little wider usable. Maybe it's because he's tall but it seems like is feet slip right off it.

All in all, I would 100% buy this stroller again! I have recommended it to several people. The price can't be beat!

This is the BEST travel stroller.

(Score 5/5)

I bought this stoller for a trip to Paris and London. Think lots of cobblestones. My Son is 4.5 41 inches tall and 36 pounds. I was thinking about not taking a stroller since most of the time at home he walks. I was looking for an unbrella type stroller with higher ahndles. This stroller was PERFECT. We did a lot of walking and the stroller handeled the cobblestones. It folded up easily and was light to carry. I was able to get off and on double decker busses, metros etc with no problem. My son was comfortable enough that he actually fell asleep in it and he hasn't done that since he was an infant. This stoller made my trip so much easier. I was so very happy with it.

Almost perfect

(Score 4/5)

I was looking for a lightweight stroller that would easily fit in my car -- one that wasn't too pricey (i.e., not a MacLaren). After much research, I chose The First Years Ignite and am very, very happy with my purchase. It handles quite well and is easy to fold up and place in my trunk. I have a VW Golf and can fit groceries and many other things in addition to the stroller. I enjoy the adjustable recline and parent accessories "tray" (it is fabric). It is absolutely perfect for my needs, with two exceptions.

Two reasons I gave it four stars rather than five:

1. The storage bin beneath the seat is really small and awkward to access. Unless the seat-back recline is all the way up you can't fit anything in there. If this isn't important to you (and it wasn't to me) then this won't be a major problem. You can't hang a diaper bag on the handles as the stroller is really light and tips back.

2. The sun shade is not adjustable. When the sun is angled, as it is in the morning and afternoon, you are out of luck unless you purchase an additional shade (there are many on the market).

All in all, a wonderful product at a great price.

LOVE This Stroller!

(Score 5/5)

I ordered this stroller last week and it came in a few days ago. Its EXACTLY what I was looking for and I LOVE it! The height is perfect for me because I am short, but also tall enough for my husband to push comfortably without having to bend over at all. I particularly like the organizer/cup holder between the handles. That is something not very umbrella strollers have. It has 4 separate cup holders plus 4 small little pockets, and then a slightly bigger zippered area for other things. The basket underneath is handy too, although it is a little tricky to get things in and out of. Ive found its much easier to just hang my diaper bag on one handle. it also has two little pockets on either side beside the seat. Although Im not really sure what they could be used as. The canopy is really no different than any other umnrella stroller, so its not like you can expect much. The slight recline is nice too. Of course its not as much as a full size stroller, but its an umbrella stroller...so it can only recline so far. Its perfectly reclinable for my 5 month old son. He fell asleep in it fine, and actually stayed asleep in it for 30 mins. It also has a 3 different level adjustable 5 point harness that grows with your child, which i really like! Another review I read said its not tall enough to carry a child that is 50 lbs, but if you take the canopy off Im pretty sure it will. But honestly, what 50 lb kid is going to want to ride a stroller? And even if they did, Im sure they wouldnt care if the canopy was on or not. I also read that lots of people had problems with the front wheels wobbling too much. that is NOT the case with mine! They may wobble SLIGHTLY every now and then but its usually only on a rough surface. Other than that, I have had NO problems at all with this stroller! I am so glad I found this one and didnt get a cheap one from wal-Mart. And my son loves it just as much as i do. Even better than his big stroller. He is at the stage where he wants to sit up, but even in his big stroller he cant get as far up as he wants. With this one, he seriously will ride in it for a long time and hardly make a sound. Which is unlike him lol. I think its because he can sit straight up. I recommend this stroller to any parent looking for this type of stroller and wanting to get a good deal! Im sure we will get many years out of it!

Strollers for our Twin Girls

(Score 4/5)

Purchased two First Years Stroller for our twin girls for our recent trip to Hawaii. Very easy to fold down and held up well when we gate-checked them.We did a lot of walking and the strollers held up pretty well until the end of our 11 day vacation when the front wheels started squeaking and not rolling straight like when we first got them. Not much storage space below for stuff, but all in all a good stroller for the price.

Good Stroller for older (bigger) kids...

(Score 4/5)

We purchased this stroller for a recent trip to Disney World. Our 5 year old son had long outgrown and worn out his original stroller and the thought of taking a 5 year old to Disney without a stroller was not a pleasant one. So we wanted an inexpensive stroller that could accommodate a 5 year old. This one fit the bill perfectly.

Pros: Inexpensive, easy to navigate, holds up to 50lbs

Cons: Sun shade is not very effective, difficult if not impossible to fold with the sun shade on or anything in the basket.

It's just Ok

(Score 4/5)

I bought it because I needed an extra stroller. It looks nice, but the size it's not that comfortable for my baby. My son is 34 pounds and measures 88 cms he's 18 months old and soon he won't be able to use it, even if it says it's up to 50 pounds. Doesn't recline much (kids go sitting straight), and if he leans forward the back will come with him. But to solve an immediate issue it can be used. Doesn't weight much and fits easily in the car. Also for traveling on planes it's good and for the price you won't loose much.

i love it

I just received this stroller yesterday, we love it so far. Great price and so many extra features for a lightweight umbrella stroller. It also has 2 small side pockets that they dont show (they cover the hinges). I needed an umbrella stroller so it would fold up and take less space in my car....I reviewed sooo many of them before deciding on this one because of the *basket *seat adjusts *parent console *higher and padded handles *wider seat - its great and its pink for my granddaughter ;-) Its replacing a hand me down no frills Cosco umbrella stroller that wouldnt fold up and she seemed to be stuck in that "sling" seat. My only concern w/this is what another person wrote and thats the height of the back of the seat - its ok now but my grdaughter is 28" (tall for 9 mos) and her head is at the top.
