Really good shoes

(score 5/5)

For my last marathon training program i bought 2 pairs of these shoes so i could swap them week to week and make the two pair last the entire training season with never really having to break in a new pair past the first month.

The shoes are initially a bit stiff but for me (6'4" 190lbs) they really loosen up after around 50 miles. I now have over 500miles on each of my pairs and im in the market for another pair or two for a couple marathons i have coming up. I even used one pair in my marathon... they both had around 350 miles on them when i got to the marathon. Ran a 3:05 and had an awesome experience. Highly highly recommended... im shooting for the creation 10's again to save a bit of cash and i know what theyre like... if only they wouldnt change styles all the time =(

Different Viewpoint

(score 5/5)

I don't run, but I walk regularly, usually 2-3 miles at a time. I'm heavy, about 250, and am recovering from plantar faschitis. I have worn Wave Creations for several years now, and they're the only sneakers I'll buy. That plastic wave bonded into the midsole makes an enormous difference -- it's not that the shoe is softer, but rather that you get a springy feel rather than your foot smashing into the ground with each step. I have substituted Dr.Scholl Tri-Comfort insoles for the ones that came with the shoes, and find the combination heavenly. When I can I wear these all day, including my walk in the afternoon. If you're a light person, pass these by, but the more mass you're carrying, the more important it is to get a pair of these right now!

Mizuno Madness

(score 5/5)

I got these for my husband because after a year and a half he'd worn his other pair out. The price was awesome compared to what he paid before (at least twice as much at the store) perfect fit and great quality for a runner with a 6'2" and 235lbs frame.

Mizuno Wave Creation 10 Review

(score 4/5)

Being a fairly heavy runner (5'10", 190lbs), I was looking for a shoe that would hold up to my heavy abuse, well I found it. The Wave Creation 10 is not the lightest of shoes, but I have not suffered from shin-splints or any other leg issues since I startred using them. I mainly run on the road but I have used them on the beach and the trail, they did great on those surfaces also. The shoe does force you to run on your mid to forefoot but I think that's a good thing. It may take you a couple miles to get used to it, but soon everything will feel very natural. I am really impressed with the Mizuno brand and plan on being a repeat customer.

Best running shoes I have ever owned

(score 5/5)

Great shoe. I started training for triathlons about a year and a half ago. I have done several sprint triathlons, a few 10K runs and a half-marathon so far. My feet have normal pronation and normal arches, and I run about 30Km per week (with speed workouts and interval training). When I started training for triathlons, I first used Saucony with a lot of cushioning and then switched to Nike (Air Pegasus 25) with moderate cushioning, and although these were both good shoes, my legs weren't always happy. After buying the Mizuno Wave Creation 10, I felt that they were quite stiff (not much cushioning upon impact) compared to my previous shoes. This was initially disappointing, but after a couple of runs, I realized that this stiffness was exactly what my legs wanted. No matter how much I run, my legs don't hurt at all. It is counter-intuitive that a stiffer shoe is actually easier on the legs, but after I run with these shoes, my legs feel great with no pain whatsoever. So if you think that more cushioning is better for you, you may want to think again. Cheers.
