Design and Style

How will you look in these shoes?

These shoes are 'cute', but that could use a different range of colors. It is worth to note that although the shoes are wide and have a roomy toe box, they still look alright.

Durability

How long will this shoe last for you? How do the shoes behave under repeated wear?

These shoes are as durable as most other running shoes. They are generally washable and do not lose shape or color when washed.

Low Cost

How much can you expect to pay for the shoes? As a rule of thumb, running shoes should be replaced every 300-400 miles. If you plan to run a lot, price may become an important factor.

The New Balance WR882 shoes are among the cheapest you can get in the women running shoes category.

Support

How much support does the shoe provide you with? Will you be able to use orthodics if you need them?

The New Balance WR882 have great support and cushioning around the ankle. Some runners feel that there is not enough arch support, and that while the shoes are good for runners who supinate (roll in) - the insoles are too flat.

Lightweight

It is usually better for running shoes to be as lightweight as possible. However, this often means less support, less cushioning and perhaps shorter lifespan.

At 9.5oz (272g), most runners find the shoes very lightweight.

Comfort

Running is a shock (impact) intensive sport. Running shoes usually have some mechanism for shock absorption, protecting your feet and allowing you to run further and for longer periods of time.

Many runners comment that the NB WR882 have good cushioning and roomy toe-box. These shoes are widely considered excellent for walking and for jobs that require standing a lot. Some users wear these shoes for hiking activities as well as running. People with wide feet find that these shoes are exremely comfortable for both walking and running. and people usually report that the shoes are very sturdy and provide a lot of support and plenty of cushioning. The shoes are normally good for recurring feet problems, as they are very comfortable and supportive. The shoe is a good fit for feet that are wider in the front, and only a few runners commented that the shoes required extra cushioning insoles.

good shoes

(score 4/5)

These are very comfortable, true-to-size, and nice looking. I have plantars facaitis and I can wear these shopping and get along fine.
The toes show wear pretty quickly, but I would buy them again.

Good Running Shoe

(score 4/5)

Bought the shoes for the "SL-2 last" fit and this shoe gives that with a very roomy toe box while keeping a good heel fit. Feels good overall to run in. I ordered the shoe 1 size larger than my dress shoe size which made them roomy but not oversized. The shoes are very flexible. I researched my needs, chose this shoe, and then looked online for the best price, and found it through Amazon. My only con is that it could be a little more cushioned for the pounding that running gives. I am now thinking of adding a gel insert.
