excellent travel stroller

(score 5/5)

We chose this stroller for an intercontinental trip involving 10 flights with our 3-6 month old daughter. Compared to the MacLarens we compared it to, it has several advantages: (1) larger wheels with suspension. (2) The seat can go almost flat, providing a clean place for changing diapers anywhere.

We also like:
* the ability to wash the fabric parts.
* the ability to remove the basket and the shade and thus have a very light weight (and small looking) stroller.
* the ability to adjust handle length.
* the hooks on the handles for hanging a diaper bag.
* the wide seat, tall seat... we might be able to use this stroller until our daughter is 3 or 4.
* the narrow width of the stroller, making it easy to navigate through crowded places and through narrow gaps.

Yes the basket is flimsy, but we only used it for a folded stroller bag.

Overall the stroller is probably less rugged than our every-day stroller (A Peg Perego PlikoSwitch). But as a second stroller for travel I can't think of a better one!

We had to gate check the stroller for every flight, and were glad we had a stroller bag that kept it clean.

Flimsy, light-use only stroller

(score 4/5)

I love the features, which this stroller has. In particular:
-great canopy, which extends to cover almost the whole child
-great size and hight - my 14-month is quite tall and would not fit in Bugaboo or other light-weight strollers, which have quite low canopies
-great bumpers on the sides of child's head - a lot of strollers, including my jogging one, do not have this great cushioning, so my son would sometimes hit his head in the sides - Not the case with this stroller!
-all-wheel suspension - drives well over all types of terrain (including trolley tracks!) and the baby does not seem to experience any discomfort
-three position recline - even though it is 'two-hand' recline system, I have never had problem with it. It is quite easy to operate and lower, even with a sleeping baby inside
-big storage underneath - it fits my groceries and I have not had any problem with it scratching the ground - maybe because I have the 2010 model
-the foot rest can go up flat for when the child takes a nap
-really light - I am 115lbs and I am able to lift it on and off the bus with my heavy 14-month old in it without amy problems

Unfortunately, despite all these great features, I highly doubt that this stroller will live past one season of use. The structure seems very flimsy and is already giving me some problems after one month of use. The folding started to get stuck after a couple of days. If I need to walk fast, I need to lock the front wheels, otherwise they jam and can either break off or the stroller can overturn. This is quite annoying and I have tried with/ without the child in the stroller or tried to reposition the weight, however no matter what I do the front wheels jam if I walk fast.

In summary, this is a great light-use stroller, which possesses great features. It is wonderful for short, slow walks or taking on the subway. Unfortunately, not sturdy or long-lasting.

Flimsy, Broken wheels - Expensive

(score 1/5)

I will make this short and to the point. I bought this stroller after doing MUCH research - liked that it was lightweight, attractive, and the ONLY one of its kind I could find that would work with the carseat. I wanted to avoid the snap and go. It is our SECONDARY stroller - I keep the BOB in the car - so this has gotten VERY little use and wear and tear. BUT you wouldn't know it since the front wheels when on swivel option start to vibrate and shake the entire stroller as you go. I then MUST lock the wheels which make getting it to go anywhere impossible. The handles when extended are very flimsy and shaky as you push as well. The basket under the stroller has a small tear that happened after only a few times with use - and there was VERY VERY little in it. A big disappointment for a lot of $ !!!

Good, but lots of flaws

(score 3/5)

Everything good you're reading about this stroller is good. However, some of the flaws are really annoying:

1) The bag sucks. Period. You cant put anything in it without it dragging on the floor. We've basically ruined it in one day, b/c of this.

2) The shaky front wheels- design flaw or safety feature? Dunno, but having the wheels flutter annoyingly when you want to go fast sucks

3) The handles- cheap plastic

4) Not a city stroller. 3 years after I bought a MacLaren Techno, it was finally ready to replace. It lasted. This one doesnt seem like it will make it through 1 summer. I'd probably spring for the Techno again.
